Says I have I can guess that some of the hard drive space is reserved, and that's why the ~65 GB I should actually have free only shows as ps4 cannot download because there is not enough space I know that digital downloads require up to twice their size be free on the destination drive before they can be downloaded and installed.
However, ps4 cannot download because there is not enough space, I can't think of a single explanation why it would tell me 2. I've tested with other demos and can only squeeze in about a GB before it starts telling me I need to delete things to fit more. Free up gig. Yes it sucks, but you'll potentially keep seeing that error until you get to that point.
I need to free up GB to install a 2. That doesn't just suck, it's also baffling. How is this a thing? I mean, I'll probably opt for upgrading the internal at some point now that I'm exceeding my hard drive's capacity.
I like to keep USB ports open where possible, especially since I recently got a PSVR. Still, for this particular instance I strongly feel that the problem isn't that I don't ps4 cannot download because there is not enough space a big enough hard drive, it's that the PS4's software isn't doing its job properly. Could you share what it is, or at least point me to where I can find it? Everything I find when I search Google or this subreddit is about the parts I can already explain. Answer number 2 is to invest in an external or even a larger internal HDD. Invest in an external hard drive is my suggestion.
